The Best Things in Life Are Free…
What a beautiful way to start the day!
The moon slowly setting over Malibu, the sun rising over Venice, and a beautiful welcoming committee of wings flying toward me. What more could I ask for?
One of the greatest rewards of waking up early is getting to experience the sunrise, and sometimes, when we’re lucky, the moon too!
There was so much life all around me this morning. An osprey suddenly dove down toward the water, and a cormorant disappeared beneath the surface. I love watching these incredible birds in their natural environment. Each one is so different, with its own special abilities. Nature never ceases to amaze me.
And then, of course, came my feathered friends! Wings flying in every direction, excited to greet me. Some perched along the railing while others couldn’t wait to jump into my bag. Their enthusiasm always makes me smile. What a wonderful feeling to be welcomed with so much joy!
The best things in life really are free. The beautiful skies, the ocean, the sunshine, the wildlife, and the simple joy of being present in the moment.
All we have to do is step outside, open our eyes, and appreciate what’s around us.
Be kind to the pigeons, the seagulls, the people you meet, and every living thing that crosses your path. You never know how much one small act of kindness can mean.
I never imagined that something as simple as showing kindness to a few birds would bring so much happiness into my life. What started as a small gesture has become one of the most meaningful parts of my days.
Kindness has a beautiful way of coming back to us, often in ways we never expected.
Today’s message was, “Have faith in the path ahead.” And I believe that with all my heart. Sometimes we don’t know where the journey will lead, but when we follow our hearts and choose kindness, beautiful things can happen along the way.
Get outside. Look around. Appreciate the little things. Be kind.
It will change your life. It did mine.
