Morning Reflections

Surrounded by Wings on a Sunday Morning…

Beautiful Sunday morning on the pier.

I was a little later than normal today, and my feathered friends definitely noticed. The moment I arrived, it felt like they were saying, “Where have you been?” Wings were everywhere I looked, flying above me, around me, and toward me.

There is something so beautiful about being recognized by these little souls. They don’t need words. They simply show up, and somehow you can feel the love.

And, of course, Honey Girl did what Honey Girl does. She came right up from behind me to make sure I knew she was there. It makes me smile every single time.

As I stood there surrounded by wings, today’s message felt especially fitting:

“You have to believe that this moment is preparing you for something amazing that hasn’t happened yet. Keep going.”

Maybe we don’t always understand where life is taking us. Maybe some moments are quietly preparing us for things we can’t see yet. We just have to keep showing up, keep believing, and keep going.

This morning reminded me that some of life’s greatest gifts aren’t things at all. They’re trust. Connection. Love. A familiar little face finding you in a crowd. And wings filling the sky because you finally arrived.

So incredibly grateful for another morning with them.

Capturing beauty, sharing light.
