Morning Reflections

Sunshine After the Rain, and Quiet Magic at the Shore…

This morning the world felt freshly painted. The sun returned after the rain, soft and radiant, like an old friend stopping by just to remind us that storms don’t stay forever.

As soon as I reached the pier, the birds came to greet me — circling overhead in little loops of excitement, landing close, then closer, then right in my hand. Pegleg was first, as always. I love how he finds me without fail, rain or shine. The pigeons followed next, their tiny feet tapping out joy, jumping on and off my hand, taking turns like children on a playground ride. There are no words big enough to hold the feeling of that moment. Pure connection. Pure presence. Pure magic.

The air still carried the memory of rain, but the light carried a promise. I stood there grateful for both — the rain that softens the world, and the sunshine that reveals its sparkle.

Today reminded me of this: beauty doesn’t replace the storm — it follows it, gently, and makes everything worth it.

And in that quiet morning symphony of wings and sunlight, I felt once again… exactly where I was meant to be.

Capturing beauty, Sharing light

Morning Gratitude Thought:

Thank you, rain, for slowing the world down. Thank you, sun, for lighting it back up. And thank you, birds, for the daily reminder that joy can be simple, soft, and shared without speaking a single word.
