Morning Reflections
Sunday Joy Takes Flight…
Some mornings don’t need planning. They just need presence. As soon as I arrived, I said the words I always say—“Here they come.” And right on cue, they did. From every direction, wings cutting through the blue sky, excitement unmistakable. Their joy rises before they even land, and somehow it always lifts me right along with them.
Pegleg was first, as he always is. Before anyone else even realized I was there, he had already found me. That steady familiarity never gets old. It feels like being recognized, like belonging.
Then the baby appeared—and she completely stole the show. She’s getting so big now, growing into herself, but I know it’s her every time. Those big eyes tell her story before she even comes close. Watching her grow feels like witnessing a quiet miracle in real time.
Honey Girl was there, gentle and sweet as ever. And Domino—full force, no hesitation, pure enthusiasm—came flying in like he always does. Each one of them carries their own energy, their own rhythm, and together they create something that feels like joy in its purest form.
They filled my Sunday with light. With laughter. With that deep, grounding happiness that reminds me how simple joy can be when you let it meet you where you are. Grateful doesn’t even begin to cover it.
Morning Gratitude Thought:
Sunday reminder:
Joy shows up when you do.
Sometimes it comes with wings.
