Morning Reflections
Sharpened by Beauty
As I pack up and prepare to fly back today, my heart feels full. This trip has been everything—sunrises, sunsets, turtles, birds, laughter, stillness, and the kind of beauty that lingers long after the moment ends. I forgot how much I love to travel. How stepping into a new place sharpens your senses, opens your heart, and gently shifts your perspective. Being here reminded me that there’s so much near me I’ve yet to explore. I live in LA—a city filled with its own kind of magic—and now I’m returning with fresh eyes and a deeper appreciation. The beauty here was phenomenal. I soaked it in, moment by moment, and I know I’ll carry it with me. Travel doesn’t just change your surroundings—it changes you. And today, I’m flying home a little more open, a little more grateful, and a little more ready to notice the miracles waiting right where I am. And today is my dad’s birthday. I’m so grateful to him—for my love of nature, for his dedication, and for the quiet strength he’s always shown. His hard work and gentle spirit have shaped so much of who I am. I’m proud to be his daughter. Until next time, island light.
Morning Gratitude Thought
Grateful for the journey, the beauty, and the shift. For the way travel opens your heart and sharpens your view. And today, especially grateful for my dad—whose love of nature and quiet strength live in me. Happy birthday, Dad.
