Morning Reflections

September Wings…

There is something so special about the beginning of a new month, and September greeted me with such a beautiful morning.

The sky was cloudy and dramatic, with the sun glowing mysteriously from behind the clouds. I love mornings like this. There’s a softness to them that makes everything feel a little more magical.

And then came my favorite part.

The birds started flying toward me from every direction, filling the sky with wings. Some lined up along the railing waiting patiently, while Honey Girl did what Honey Girl does best, coming up from behind me, eager for her peanuts. I held out my hands and within seconds I was surrounded. Their excitement is contagious, and the trust and love they give me means more than I can put into words.

Adonis was perched in his usual lookout spot, watching over everything from above. And even when it was time for me to leave and I started walking back, the birds were still flying toward me. That will never get old.

The quote I brought with me this morning felt perfect:

“September is a reminder to live in the present, soak in the beauty around us, and be grateful for every day.”

That is exactly how I want to begin September. Present. Grateful. Paying attention to the little moments that become the biggest ones in our hearts.

So grateful for these beautiful souls, this beautiful morning, and another day to look up and notice it all.

Grateful. Always.

Capturing beauty, sharing light.
