Morning Reflections

Roll Call in the Light…

This morning felt like a gentle celebration… the kind that doesn’t need music because the wings carry it.

The pigeons were lined up for roll call like they always are, each one in their place, waiting, watching, knowing. And then, just like that, they lifted… circling around me in soft loops of trust and excitement. It never gets old. It never feels ordinary.

Honey Girl was especially happy today. You could feel it in the way she moved… quick, eager, full of joy over something as simple as peanuts. It made me smile because that’s where the magic is—right there in the simple things.

As I stood there, surrounded by feathers and movement and life, I thought about April… not just the month, but the feeling of it.

Letting go.

Growing gently.

Not forcing anything.

Trusting what comes.

The ocean was calm, the light was soft, and everything felt like it was exactly where it was supposed to be.

And in that moment, watching them…

I felt it again:

It’s the most beautiful thing in the world.

Grateful. 🤍

Capturing beauty, sharing light.
