Morning Reflections
Rain Coming, Wings Rising…
Happy Columbus Day. I’m so excited—we’re expecting rain. The sky was full of clouds this morning, layered and soft, like a painting waiting to shift. Pegleg greeted me like always, steady and loyal. Every day, the excitement grows with the birds. They’re just so happy. Honey Girl came from behind and landed on my shoulder like an old friend. Clubby balanced on my phone with her one foot, as if she were checking in. They’re the sweetest things. I really cherish my mornings with them. The sunrise was breathtaking—light spilling through the clouds, golden and alive. There was just so much to see this morning. And tomorrow, when the rain comes, the birds will be all out. They lift their wings and lay to the side like they’re showering. It’s the cutest thing. I can’t wait. Grateful for the clouds, the sunrise, the birds, and the joy of what’s to come.
