Morning Reflections
Peanuts, Wings, and a Little Bit of Luck…
Some mornings just feel extra magical. The ocean was glowing under the soft morning light as the waves rolled gently toward the shore. The pier stretched out into the calm blue water, and I could already feel that familiar excitement building inside me.
Because I knew what was about to happen.
Before long, tiny shadows appeared in the sky. My bestest buddies. One by one they came flying toward me, wings flapping fast, eyes locked on their favorite breakfast.
Peanuts in my hand.
There is something so joyful about watching them land. Some are brave and come right in. Others hover first, deciding if today is the day they’ll be bold.
And every single time they arrive, my heart smiles.
It’s like an instant serotonin boost. Nature’s little antidepressants with feathers.
They are good for your health in ways science probably can’t even measure yet.
Ebony loves landing on my phone. Honey Girl landed right on my shoulder from behind. They lined up like they were waiting their turn. I just love them!
Moments like this remind me of a simple truth I held up this morning:
“Every good you do comes back to you.”
Kindness always finds its way home.
Maybe that’s why they keep coming back. Or maybe they just know where the peanuts are.
Ebony swooped down right next to my message, I laughed because the timing couldn’t have been better.
“Lucky Friday the 13th.”
Maybe luck isn’t about avoiding black cats or broken mirrors.
