Evening Reflections

Peace in the Rain…

There wasn’t much of a sunset tonight. No golden glow, no fiery sky, just clouds, rain, and a different kind of beauty.

I love the sound of the rain. There’s something so peaceful about listening to it fall and watching the world slow down for a little while. We needed the rain, and you could almost feel the earth soaking it all in. Everything looked washed clean and refreshed.

Even my dad’s llama seemed to be enjoying it. Standing out beneath those big Texas clouds, with his wet curly coat, he looked perfectly content. I think he understood tonight’s message better than anyone: “I find peace in the rain.”

We even got a little lightning and thunder, nature adding its own soundtrack to the evening. ⚡️🌧️

Sometimes we look for the sunshine to make a day beautiful, but tonight was a reminder that beauty doesn’t disappear when the sun does. The rain cleans everything, nourishes everything, and somehow leaves the world looking a little more alive than it did before.

Things are always more beautiful after the rain.

Tonight I’m grateful for the rain, the sound of thunder, the fresh earth, my dad’s sweet llama, and another reminder that every kind of day has something beautiful waiting to be noticed.

Capturing beauty, sharing light.
