Morning Reflections

Part of Someone Else’s Sky…

Some mornings don’t need brilliant colors to be unforgettable. Today, the beauty was in the details. Looking around the pier, I noticed little things I hadn’t seen before. Isn’t that what life is all about? The more we focus on what we love, the more beauty seems to reveal itself.

The pigeons came flying toward me with their usual excitement, filling my heart before the day had even begun. There was a beautiful new face in the flock, and I named him Harlequin. Watching him join the others felt like welcoming a new friend into the family.

The pelicans glided by in perfect formation. They never push one another aside. They weave together effortlessly, each knowing exactly where to be. There is something so peaceful about watching them trust one another.

As always, I held out my hand, and the pigeons came soaring in with such joy. I wish everyone could experience them the way I do. They have taught me so much about trust, kindness, and living in the moment.

Looking up, Adonis was in his usual place, standing watch over the pier. Then the clouds opened just enough for the light to pour through, a beautiful reminder that even when life feels cloudy, God is still shining above it all.

Walking back, I looked up once more and saw the American flag dancing in the breeze. My heart filled with gratitude for this place, these mornings, these birds, and the countless reminders that beauty is always waiting for those willing to notice.

Gratitude is my superpower.

Capturing beauty, sharing light.
