Morning Reflections
No Replays, No Rewinds…
It was a beautiful gray morning on the pier, but there was nothing gray about the way it felt. The sky was suddenly filled with wings coming toward me, and I don’t think I’ll ever find the right words to describe what that does to my heart.
It has become one of my favorite things in the world. The moment they see me and start flying in, their excitement is contagious. I can feel their happiness, and I’m so grateful that somehow I get to be part of it.
Honey Girl came flying up from behind with all of her usual enthusiasm. The pigeons lined the railing, waiting for their turn, and of course Pegleg had to make absolutely certain I saw him. I wouldn’t expect anything less.
As I was leaving, a surfer caught a wave below the pier, one more little reminder to notice the moment while it’s happening.
“Life is short. Time is fast. No replays. No rewinds. So, love and enjoy every moment as it comes.”
The wings, the waves, the gray sky, their excitement. None of it gets a replay.
And maybe that’s exactly what makes each moment so beautiful.
Grateful. Always. 🕊️🌊🤍
Capturing beauty, sharing light.
