Morning Reflections

Meals on Wheels & Morning Light…

This morning felt like a quiet celebration disguised as an ordinary walk. The sky was wide and beautiful, layered in soft blues and silvery clouds, the kind that make you slow down without asking. As soon as I stepped onto the pier, the birds came flying toward me, happy and full of energy, like the day couldn’t wait to begin.

Pegleg followed me all the way down the pier, just like always. Step for step, my loyal little reminder that I’m never walking alone. I love how he keeps an eye on me, as if he’s making sure I don’t miss anything important.

Out in the distance, a fishing boat passed the flag, and instantly the mood shifted. The birds lifted into the air, chasing after it with pure joy. It always makes me smile watching them. This is their version of excitement, their meals on wheels, and there’s something so innocent and perfect about it. They know exactly when to show up, exactly where to be.

That’s when the quote I was holding felt especially true: “It does not matter that it has not come yet. It is coming.” Watching the birds trust the moment so completely reminds me to do the same. They don’t worry. They don’t wait in fear. They rise when it’s time.

As I was leaving the pier, I noticed something else beautiful unfolding. Davide Piubeni was painting the Venice Whaler, completely in his element. The way he brings the ocean, the Venice vbes, and light to life is truly special. Art meeting the sea, right there in real time.

I left feeling full. Full of gratitude, full of trust, full of quiet joy. Some mornings don’t need to be loud to be powerful. They just need you to show up.

Capturing beauty, sharing light.

Morning Gratitude Thought:

This morning, I’m grateful for happy birds, loyal companions, and the quiet reminder that what’s meant for me is already on its way. I don’t have to rush it. I just have to be here.
