Evening Reflections
Malibu Lagoon Evening Gratitude…
Tonight’s sunset at the Malibu Lagoon felt like a quiet conversation with the day. Every time I come here, it looks completely different, as if the place is reminding me that change doesn’t have to be loud to be meaningful.
I wanted to cross over to the other side, but the water was so still it looked like a lake, holding the sky without a ripple. Everything slowed. A little grebe swam back and forth, almost performing, as if to say, “Look at me, I’m here.” And of course, I did. I always do.
As I was leaving, the sky shifted into the softest pinks and peaches, the kind of colors that don’t ask for attention but take your breath anyway. The reflection felt endless, like the day didn’t want to fully let go yet.
This is why I keep coming back. Same place, different magic. A ritual that grounds me, reminds me to pause, to notice, to be grateful. Tonight was peaceful in a way that settles into your bones, and I’m carrying that calm with me as the night begins.
Capturing beauty, sharing light.

Evening Gratitude Thought:
Grateful for places that never look the same twice and for rituals that remind me to slow down and truly see.
