Evening Reflections
Bubbles in the Pastels…
Tonight, the tide pulled back and gifted me a mirror. The sand turned smooth, quiet, expectant — like a canvas breathing in color. Venice Beach at low tide is a soft secret. Pastels ripple in the wet shoreline, and the clouds lean east, glowing in shades so bright they almost hum. The sky didn’t shout; it glowed. Fluorescent beauty with no sound, only presence.
And then came the bubbles — iridescent, weightless, wandering through the air like tiny orbs of optimism. Each one felt like a reminder that joy doesn’t need permission to rise. Even something fragile can carry light.
Dogs ran playfully along the shore, paws splashing reflections of pink and lavender. Their laughter was movement, their freedom a melody. I stood still, grateful to witness a world so alive and so gentle at the same time.
Moments like this feel like prayer without words: Thank You, God, for color, for creatures, for the quiet miracles that float.
I lifted my camera, not to capture a scene — but to hold onto a feeling. Beauty shared becomes brighter. Gratitude spoken becomes real. And tonight, I am overflowing.
Capturing beauty, sharing light.

Evening Gratitude Thought:
The tide can retreat and still reflect Heaven. Bubbles can break and still carry light. Dogs can run and still teach freedom. And clouds can glow in silence and still feel like prayer. I’m grateful for fragile, beautiful, floating moments — the kind that remind me God is near, joy is everywhere, and life itself is a gentle shimmer.
