Morning Reflections
Lookout Spots and Love…
Such a beautiful morning. I left the gym and drove down Abbot Kinney as the sun was rising. Pegleg greeted me, as always. Honey Girl wasn’t far behind. Clubby landed on top of my phone—her favorite perch. Now they all jump on and off my phone. They have the best vision. They come from every direction, like they’ve got lookout spots everywhere. One had string tangled around his feet. I was able to catch him and cut it off. It made me feel good to help him. I’m not sure how my life became all about pigeons, but I’m grateful that it did. We all need someone looking out for us. And I’m happy I get to be that person for them. They bring me so much joy.

Grateful for sunrise drives, sharp-eyed pigeons, Clubby’s phone landings, and the joy of looking out for someone.
