Morning Reflections

Life is a Blessing…

What a beautiful, clear Tuesday morning at the pier!

The sunshine was golden, the ocean was sparkling, and enormous waves were crashing against the Venice breakwater. There is something so incredible about watching the power of the ocean while feeling the peacefulness of a new day.

And then, here they come!

My beautiful feathered friends flying toward me with their wings spread wide. I don’t think I could ever fully describe the feeling of seeing them coming. It’s the best welcome I could ever ask for, and somehow, it just keeps getting better.

Honey Girl came up from behind, just like she always does, full of excitement and ready for her morning visit.

Pegleg made sure to say hello, and of course, little Crybaby had something to say, too. I could almost hear her saying, “Hey, I’m over here!” ❤️

And my sweet little buddy with his one foot makes sure I see him—so sweet.

But one of the most special moments was with Angel.

It took time for Angel to trust me, and now she comes right to my hand. This morning, she sat there for the longest time, completely comfortable.

Trust is such a beautiful thing.

It’s not something you can rush or demand. It’s something you earn through patience, kindness, and consistency. And when a little bird chooses to trust you, it’s a feeling that words can hardly describe.

As I watched the birds flying, the waves crashing, and the sunlight stretching across the ocean, I couldn’t help but think about how incredibly blessed I am.

These are the moments that make life so beautiful. Not the expensive things or the grand occasions, but the little experiences that fill your heart with happiness.

“Be grateful for today and never take anything for granted. Life is a blessing.”

Every sunrise is another opportunity to appreciate being alive, to show kindness, to build trust, and to notice the beauty surrounding us.

I am so grateful for my life, my beautiful feathered friends, and another unforgettable morning by the ocean.

Life is such a beautiful gift. Never forget to appreciate it. ❤️

Capturing beauty, sharing light.
