Morning Reflections
A Little Bird Named Pip and a Pier Full of Happiness…
What a beautiful morning on the pier! The golden sunshine stretched across the ocean, the water was peaceful, and the sky was filled with wings. Every morning feels like a celebration, and somehow, the party just keeps getting better and better!
There’s nothing quite like watching my feathered friends flying toward me from every direction. It’s a feeling I never get tired of, and one that is difficult to put into words. Their excitement brings me so much happiness!
Pegleg was there to say hello, and of course, Crybaby made sure I knew she was there. Alexander wasn’t about to be overlooked either! Honey Girl did her usual sneak attack from behind, and my little buddy hopped right into my bag to make sure he had my attention.
And then there’s beautiful Angel. I absolutely love that she comes when I call her name now. Trust is such a precious gift, and every time she comes to me, I’m reminded of how special these little relationships have become.
But today, we had a surprise visitor!
A tiny brown bird I’d never seen before showed up at the pier. I believe he’s a cowbird, and I’ve named him Pip!
He was the cutest little thing! He looked as though he’d just discovered there was a party happening and couldn’t quite figure out what all the excitement was about. He stood there observing everyone, almost as if he were trying to blend in with the pigeons.
I couldn’t help but smile. Maybe word is getting around about our morning celebrations!
And that’s what I love so much about these mornings. You never know who will show up, what little surprise awaits, or which beautiful moment will become another treasured memory.
Today’s message couldn’t be more perfect:
“Remember to make room for good memories, belly laughs, kindness, and everything that lights your soul.”
That’s exactly what these mornings mean to me. The laughter, the unexpected visitors, the friendships, the trust, and the simple joy of being surrounded by nature.
I feel incredibly blessed to experience this beautiful gift every single day. And the more I appreciate these moments, the more beautiful they seem to become.
Here’s to making room for more happiness, more kindness, more beautiful memories, and maybe even a few more unexpected guests at the party!
