Evening Reflections

Let My Thoughts Be Light…

Tonight’s sunset at Venice Beach was one of those skies that makes you stop mid-step. The clouds were painted in soft pinks and warm oranges, as if the day didn’t want to leave without saying something beautiful first. Palm trees stood quietly against the colors.

As I was walking back from the beach, I turned around like I always do. And there it was again… the black leopard and macaw artwork resting in the tree. It feels like a secret waiting for you if you take the time to look back. A wild animal and a bright bird living together in a city sunset—street art meeting sky, imagination meeting gratitude. I was thinking about the quote I carried with me tonight: “Let your thoughts give hope, guidance and upliftment to everyone you encounter.”

Standing there, it felt true. Our thoughts shape how we move through the world. They shape how we look at a sunset, how we treat strangers, how we notice art hidden in trees. If I choose grateful thoughts, I see beauty everywhere. If I choose kind thoughts, I leave something gentle behind me.

Tonight wasn’t loud. It didn’t need to be. It was soft colors, palm trees, graffiti, and a reminder that beauty is often waiting just behind you—if you turn around and notice.

I’m so grateful for these moments. They remind me that life doesn’t rush us… it invites us to look.

Capturing beauty, sharing light.

Evening Gratitude Thought:

Tonight, I am grateful for skies that stop me in my tracks and art that waits for me when I look back. May my thoughts give hope, guidance, and upliftment to everyone I encounter—just like this sunset did for me.
