Evening Reflections

Lessons in the Sky

Tonight, the clouds leaned softly across the horizon, as if the sky itself were exhaling. I walked the stretch of Manhattan Beach with a heart wide open, letting the rhythm of the waves and the hush of twilight cradle me in calm. Above me, pelicans flew in formation—graceful silhouettes painted against the pastel dusk. Their synchronized motion left me breathless. It was more than beauty; it was communion. They move like they trust each other deeply. A kind of harmony I wish the world embraced more often. There’s something sacred in saying goodbye to the day like this. In that quiet, I felt held.

Evening Gratitude Thought

  • The awe of pelicans gliding together with wordless wisdom
  • The cooling sand beneath bare feet, grounding me
  • The salty breeze that cleared the clutter from my thoughts
  • Walking without hurry, without expectation
