Morning Reflections

Leap Frog Wings on a Sunny Morning…

The sun greeted the marina with a clear, warm glow today—sharp, clean, and promising. The kind of morning that feels like it was poured fresh from the sky. I arrived at my favorite spot, phone in hand, ready for the daily ritual that makes life feel rich: my gratitude walk with the birds.

Before anything else, there was motion—little feathered feet launching, landing, hopping, jumping off and on me like they were playing their own joyful version of leapfrog. One would land, then another, then a tiny flutter of wings, a gentle bump on my screen, a playful takeover of my lens. They always make a stage out of my arm, and a playground out of my phone.

Domino came in with contagious excitement, Honey Girl was thrilled as always, and Clubby made sure to stay close, soaking up her peanuts like the brave little soul she is. And then there’s the baby One—big, gentle eyes, soft but bold, determined that I see her before I go. She landed right on top of my phone, tapping the glass like she wanted to sign her own name on the moment.

These tiny glimmers of connection are my reminder every day: beauty doesn’t shout. It circles, it lands softly, it asks to be noticed. And gratitude is the gate we leave open so joy can rush in from every direction.

No matter what the weather brings, or what clouds might roll in later, this morning was the blessing I needed. Sunny, crisp, and full of wing-written joy.

Capturing beauty, sharing light.

Morning Gratitude Thought:

Morning air, crisp and bright—little wings leapfrogging on and off me like pure delight. They come in luck, in joy, in gentle surprises. Tiny hearts on tiny noses reminding me: love always lands when you make space for it. I am grateful.
