Morning Reflections
Keep Going…
June gloom settled over the ocean this morning, softening the horizon and wrapping the pier in shades of silver and gray. The waves rolled in quietly while a pelican skimmed just above the water, perfectly at home in the mist.
Out beyond the pier, the birds followed a fishing boat, hopeful for breakfast. On the railing, the pigeons were already waiting for me. Honey Girl stood front and center, eager for her peanuts, while happy wings fluttered all around as pigeons jumped on and off my arm. Gray skies never seem to bother them. Their joy has a way of brightening everything.
Adonis was perched high on his pole, keeping watch over the morning before eventually soaring across the sky with effortless grace. The flag danced in the ocean breeze, reminding me that beauty doesn’t need sunshine to be seen.
As I walked back to my car feeling grateful for another morning by the sea, a little squirrel popped out as if to say, “Hey, don’t forget about me!”
And of course, I couldn’t help but smile.
“Please… keep going, you might be almost there and not even know it.” ❤️
Capturing beauty, sharing light.
