Evening Reflections

Kaleidoscope at the End of the Trail…

Tonight, at Santa Monica Pier, the sky felt like a painting in motion. The sun slipped quietly into the ocean while the Ferris wheel lit up in a kaleidoscope of colors, turning slowly above the water like it was breathing with the tide.

There was a softness in the air, that in-between moment when day has not fully left and night is just beginning to bloom. The moon hung like a small smile above everything, and the lights of the pier reflected across the water as if the ocean was holding onto every color for a little longer.

I held my message in my hand and felt the words sink in:

“You are about to walk into one of the best chapters of your life.”

Sometimes gratitude sneaks in quietly. Not as a big revelation, but as a gentle knowing. Watching people stroll the pier, hearing laughter, seeing the glow of the Ferris wheel, I was reminded that life keeps turning just like that wheel. Every rotation brings a new view.

The little moments made me smile too, like the tiny dog in pink shoes standing bravely on the wooden boards, the Route 66 signs reminding us that endings are also beginnings, and the warm orange horizon glowing long after the sun had disappeared.

Tonight felt like permission. Permission to trust the next chapter. Permission to believe that beauty keeps unfolding when we choose to notice it.

I walked away feeling full, peaceful, and deeply grateful for this simple ritual of showing up for sunset.

Capturing beauty, sharing light.

Evening Gratitude Thought:

Tonight, the pier felt like a living kaleidoscope. Colors spinning, waves whispering, lights reflecting across the water. For a moment, everything felt aligned. Grateful for sunsets that remind us life keeps turning beautifully forward.
