Morning Reflections

Just Me, My Silly Little Life, and the Sea…

This morning felt like one of those gentle reminders that happiness is often found in the smallest moments.

The waves rolled in with a steady rhythm, each one crashing against the shore as if the ocean was singing its own morning song. Adonis was perched high on his pole, looking down over the pier like a watchful guardian. Scout was in his usual spot on the sign, keeping an eye on everything happening below.

The pigeons were especially happy today. They flew toward me with excitement, landing on my hand and filling the morning with their joyful energy. Clubbie came out to greet me, and seeing her move around so much more comfortably made my heart happy. After getting the fishing line untangled from her foot the other day, she seems to be feeling so much better.

Moo, the sweet little dog on the pier, stopped by to say hello and added another smile to the morning.

Nearby, the night herons stood patiently waiting for a fisherman to pull in breakfast. Everyone seemed to have their place this morning. The birds, the waves, the fishermen, the dog, and me.

One of my favorite messages says:

“At the end of the day, it’s just you and your silly little life. So go on, enjoy it. Be the person you want to be.”

Standing on the pier, surrounded by crashing waves, familiar feathers, and tiny moments of connection, I was reminded that a beautiful life is often made up of ordinary mornings just like this one.

Today, I am grateful. 💙

Capturing beauty, sharing light.
