Evening Reflections
Joy Overflowing…
Tonight’s sunset at Venice Beach felt like one of those moments that fills you all the way up.
The sky was painted in soft, glowing colors — warm golds, gentle pinks, and that calm blue that arrives just before night. Along the berm, people stood in silhouette, quietly watching, soaking it all in. I always love seeing that. It feels like a shared pause, a collective breath at the end of the day.
Pegleg found me, of course. Somehow, he always does. That alone makes my heart smile.
Out on the water, boats dotted the horizon, surfers waiting in anticipation of catching a wave. and far in the distance I could see birds chasing a fishing boat, overflowing with excitement about dinner. Even though they were far away, their joy was unmistakable. You could feel it — wings full of purpose, happiness in motion.
Moments like this remind me that joy doesn’t need to be loud or close to be powerful. Sometimes it’s enough just to notice it, to witness it, to let it remind you how alive the world is.
Tonight felt like a quiet promise from the universe — that something wonderful is always unfolding, especially when we’re paying attention.
Grateful beyond words. 🤍
Capturing beauty, sharing light.
