Morning Reflections
It Just Keeps Getting Better…
This morning felt like the sky was breathing slowly over the ocean. Gray clouds stretched wide above the pier, the water calm and steady beneath it. Sailboats dotted the horizon—white, blue, even one bold red sail standing out in the distance like a little exclamation mark on the sea.
And before I even called them… they came. From every direction. Pigeons flying toward me with that familiar excitement. Wings open. Eyes bright. So happy. Every single day I see them, and every single day it feels new. It feels bigger. It feels deeper.
They hover right in front of me; wings fully extended like a blessing in motion. Others land softly in my hand, trusting, steady. They jump on and off my phone with so much excitement. There is something so powerful about being met like that—by something wild that chooses you.
I held up my message to the sky: “Live in the moment and make it so beautiful that it will be worth remembering.” And the moment answered back with wings.
The sailboats moved quietly in the distance. The ocean stretched endlessly ahead. And I stood there thinking… how does it keep getting better and better?
But it does. Not because it’s flashy. Not because it’s loud. But because I’m present for it. Because I see it.
Because I feel it. And because I love them. It just keeps getting better and better.
Capturing beauty, sharing light.

Morning Gratitude Thought:
The birds flew toward me from every direction this morning, wings open and excited like we were meeting again for the first time. Sailboats lined the horizon. The ocean was calm. My heart was full. When we truly live in the moment, it somehow keeps getting better and better. Grateful beyond words.
