Evening Reflections
Hope Lives on the Horizon…
Tonight, at Burton Chace Park felt beautifully still.
The last light of the day rested over the marina as boats floated quietly by. Seagulls filled the evening sky, some soaring through the soft colors of sunset while others simply floated along the water.
And, of course, the sea lions were doing what they do best. Sleeping. One stretched out peacefully on the dock, and another was completely tucked into dreamland. There’s something so sweet about seeing them resting while the marina carries on around them.
Then I held up tonight’s little reminder against the horizon:
“Keep looking towards the horizon. Hope lives there.”
What a beautiful thought to end the day with. No matter what today held, there is always another horizon waiting. Another sunrise. Another sunset. Another chance to notice something beautiful.
Tonight, I noticed it all.
The boats.
The birds.
The sleeping sea lions.
The fading light.
The peaceful water.
Grateful for another beautiful day by the sea.
