Evening Reflections

Sacred Sunset at Burton Chace Park...

Tonight’s sunset at Burton Chace Park felt peaceful, playful, and full of life. It looked like there was a full-on cormorant meet-up happening on the water, with a few seagulls lucky enough to score an invitation.

Some of the cormorants gathered together on the dock while others floated across the water, enjoying the final light of the day. Sailboats rested quietly in the marina as others passed by, their silhouettes beautiful against the soft evening sky.

And then there was the sleepy sea lion. He looked completely content stretched out on the dock, reminding me that sometimes the best thing we can do is simply rest and enjoy where we are.

As the colors faded over the marina, I held up tonight’s little reminder:

“Your energy is sacred.”

Such a simple message, but such an important one. Protect what brings you peace. Spend your energy on the people, places, and moments that make your soul feel lighter.

Another beautiful sunset. Another day surrounded by nature, birds, water, and little reminders that there is beauty everywhere.

Grateful for another beautiful day.

Capturing beauty, sharing light.
