Morning Reflections

Here Come the Birds…

Some mornings are beautiful because of the sunrise. Others are beautiful because of what finds you.

Today was one of those mornings.

Birds, birds, birds came from every direction. Until you’ve experienced something like this, it’s hard to understand. It’s not just seeing birds. It’s being welcomed. It’s watching them recognize you, fly toward you, and trust you enough to land just a few feet away. Every time it happens, I feel so loved.

Adonis was in his usual spot, keeping watch from above while the lifeguard boat raced across the water. The waves rolled in, the pier slowly came to life, and the pigeons gathered for breakfast.

Domino came the moment I called her name. Honey Girl appeared from behind, just like she always does, making sure she didn’t miss out. Then I held out my hand…

…and here came the birds.

In those moments, nothing else matters. Just wings, trust, gratitude, and the reminder that the simplest moments are often the ones that stay with us the longest.

“There is so much to be thankful for.”

There truly is.

So grateful.

Capturing beauty, sharing light.
