Evening Reflections

Gratitude Is My Superpower…

Tonight’s walk felt like one beautiful surprise after another.

It began with a glowing sunset over the marina, the kind that turns the water into liquid gold. Then I looked up and smiled because there was the familiar pirate watching over the harbor, as if he’d been waiting for the evening to begin.

Speedboats raced by while three people on stand-up paddle boards quietly made their way home. I loved the contrast. One group chasing the moment, the other simply floating through it.

The sunlight shimmered across the water, and when I looked down, I noticed a group of pigeons gathered on the rocks. A moment later, I turned around and saw Pearl, my beautiful white pigeon, standing there as if she had quietly appeared just to say hello.

Boats drifted into the sunset, and then came one of my favorite moments of the evening. Three pelicans glided low across the water in perfect formation. They moved with incredible precision, weaving effortlessly around one another without ever colliding. Every time I watch them, I’m reminded that nature has a rhythm all its own.

The more I pay attention, the more beauty I find.

Gratitude is my superpower. It transforms ordinary moments into extraordinary memories, and every sunset reminds me that there is always something beautiful waiting to be noticed.

Capturing beauty, sharing light.
