Evening Reflections

Goodbye, July…

The last sunset of July was wrapped in soft gray skies at Venice Beach. The sun stayed hidden, but the beach had its own way of shining. The colorful graffiti, the towering palm trees, and the endless ocean reminded me that beauty doesn’t always arrive in bright colors. Sometimes it whispers.

One of my favorite moments was watching bubbles drift through the air, catching little bits of light as they floated wherever the breeze wanted to take them. A couple walked hand in hand along the shoreline, a quiet reminder that love is all around us if we choose to notice it.

As I made my way back to my car, I couldn’t resist turning around one last time. There it was, the Venice sign glowing in red, white, and blue, almost as if it were waving goodbye to another beautiful month.

Then I looked at the little note I had been carrying:

“Take a moment to be proud of all that you accomplished this July.”

It was the perfect reminder. Before chasing August, it’s worth pausing to appreciate how far we’ve come.

Goodbye, July. Thank you for the sunrises, the sunsets, the birds, the people, the little surprises, and the countless reasons to be grateful. Here’s to a brand new month filled with even more moments worth noticing.

Grateful.

Capturing beauty, sharing light.
