Evening Reflections

Golden Perspective…

Tonight, I walked around Palisades Park in Santa Monica. Sunset is beautiful from every angle here—light spilling through the trees, painting the ocean in gold, casting long shadows that feel like poetry. The palm trees were lined up like sentinels, tall and still. Every time I see them, I can’t help myself—I lean back into a little backbend and look up to snap a photo. It’s become a ritual of its own. And without fail, someone nearby always stops and looks up too, wondering what I see. How lucky are we to experience sunsets like this every day? What a blessing. I’m so grateful for this ritual—grateful for the chance to pause, to look around, and to truly see. To notice the beautiful things that surround me. To reflect on all the good that happened during the day. There’s always something good you can focus on. Even if it’s small. Even if it’s fleeting. Grateful for the light, the view, the palms, and the joy of looking up.

Evening Gratitude Thought:

Grateful for golden sunsets, lined-up palms, spontaneous backbends, and the joy of looking up.
