Morning Reflections

God Speaks in the Little Moments…

This morning felt like one beautiful reminder after another.

There really isn’t anything quite like having birds fly toward you with genuine excitement. Every morning they remind me that joy doesn’t have to be complicated. It can arrive on wings.

Honey Girl surprised me, as she always does, flying up from behind for her peanuts. Then, just when I thought she’d had enough, she came back later for a little more. Pearl is beginning to learn the routine too, and watching her confidence grow has been such a gift.

Out on the water, the fishing boat was followed by a flock of hopeful birds, while a black-crowned night heron stood patiently waiting for a fisherman to toss a fish its way. Moo came running over with his familiar little smile that never fails to brighten my day.

Then, as I walked back, I noticed something I hadn’t expected. Someone had drawn a large cross in the sand.

It stopped me in my tracks.

To some it may have simply been a shape in the sand. To me, it was another reminder that God is always speaking to us through the little moments. Through a sunrise. Through a bird. Through a smile. Through something as simple as a cross waiting to be noticed.

The world is full of quiet reminders.

We just have to slow down enough to see them.

Life is beautiful.

I am grateful.

Capturing beauty, sharing light.
