Morning Reflections
Here Come the Wings…
There’s something about a beautiful morning on the pier that makes me feel grateful before the day has even really begun.
The sky was soft with morning color, and down on the beach, a happy Doberman came running across the wet sand, his reflection following right along with him.
Adonis was up high in his usual spot, watching over everything below. And then came one of my favorite moments…
Here they come. 🕊️
The birds started flying toward me, their excitement filling the sky. No matter how many times it happens, I don’t think I’ll ever get used to how beautiful it feels to be welcomed like that.
Soon the pigeons were lined up along the railing, making their sweet little cooing sounds. I love hearing them because, to me, it sounds like contentment. Like their own little morning conversation.
A curious night heron stopped nearby, leaning forward and looking down as though he needed to know exactly what everyone was doing.
And then, once again, here come the wings.
Birds soaring toward me with the sunrise glowing behind them. For a few moments, the whole sky seemed alive.
This morning’s message felt perfect:
“Be the reason why people believe in pure hearts, good vibes and kind souls.”
Maybe that’s one of the greatest things we can offer this world: a little kindness that gives someone another reason to believe there is still so much good here.
I’m so grateful for these beautiful mornings, for the ocean, the sunrise, the coos, the wings, and these little souls who make me feel so incredibly welcome.
Grateful. Always.
Capturing beauty, sharing light.
