Morning Reflections
Gate Open Mornings…
Morning at the pier feels like grace in motion.
The sky begins quietly, painted in pastel light, and then—like clockwork—wings rush in from every direction. Their circle above me is excitement, reunion, and trust all tangled into one beautiful ritual. Pegleg is always first to say hello. Domino listens when I call. Honey Girl insists on being held, and wants to be first in line for peanuts. Clubby shines with a tiny heart-shaped nose and a giant spirit. They don’t just show up… they come to me. And that feeling is a daily hallelujah.
Down the beach, a dog burst into a sprint, chasing a bird with the wild confidence of pure joy. When I see that, I always think: Live like someone left the gate open. Run fearless. Run grateful. Run because the world is wonderful and the wind is cheering you on.
No sun is needed for the light to land. Love finds me where I stand. I am deeply grateful for this life, for these creatures, for these circles of wings, and for mornings that remind me wonder is not just coming—it’s already here.
Capturing beauty, sharing light. Always believe something wonderful is about to happen.

Morning Gratitude Thought:
Gratitude is the quiet gasp of the heart when love shows up unannounced. Wings, paws, tides, and tiny hellos at the pier — each one a reminder that wonder doesn’t wait to be loud to be real. The gate is open. Joy is running. I am grateful.
