Morning Reflections

Flying Toward Me…

This morning at the Venice Pier felt like stepping into a living breath of joy. The ocean was calm and glassy, the sky painted in soft blues, and the moment I stepped onto the pier I could feel it… that familiar energy. Before long, the birds started flying toward me from every direction. Wings moving like poetry across the sky.

Honey Girl landed on my shoulder like she always does, perfectly certain she belongs there. Domino flew straight toward me with that determined joy that never gets old. Ebony was in his favorite spot— on top of my phone. Their excitement is so pure. Watching them, you realize happiness doesn’t overthink itself. It just arrives.

There’s something powerful about slowing down enough to notice these moments. We live in such a fast-paced world that slowing down can feel like a rebellion. But mornings like this remind me that the rebellion is worth it.

Standing there, surrounded by wings, I felt completely present. No rush. No noise. Just the rhythm of the waves, the sound of feathers, and gratitude filling every corner of my heart.

The best feeling ever is when love flies toward you… and this morning it did.

Capturing beauty, sharing light.

Morning Gratitude Thought:

When we slow down long enough to notice, joy finds us first.
