Morning Reflections

Flyby of Excitement…

This morning felt like one giant welcome home from the ocean. The low tide stretched endlessly beneath the pier, turning the shoreline into a mirror of soft blues and gold. The sun shining just beyond the pier was breathtaking as always, lighting the water in that quiet way only mornings can.

And then came the pigeons.

They circled all around me like a flyby of excitement, swooping through the salty air as if they were celebrating the day before it had even fully begun. Moments like that always remind me how alive the world feels when we slow down enough to notice it.

As I walked back along the pier, I spotted the man who creates art in the sand. Today he was drawing a giant star near the shoreline. Something about it felt symbolic, like a quiet reminder that beauty doesn’t always have to last forever to matter. The tide will eventually wash it away, but for this morning, it belonged to everyone lucky enough to see it.

And tucked inside all of it was this little reminder:

“What keeps you going?

The chance to make something meaningful

out of the time I’ve been given.”

Maybe that’s exactly what mornings like this are for.

Capturing beauty, sharing light.
