Morning Reflections

Feathers and Stillness

This morning at Byodo-In Temple felt like stepping into serenity. The air was soft, the scenery breathtaking, and the quiet hum of nature wrapped around me like a gentle embrace. My favorite part? The zebra doves. They fluttered around me, hopping onto my lap and shoulders like tiny messengers of joy. It was one of those moments that felt like a secret shared between me and the universe. The koi fish glided through the water with grace, and birds of every kind filled the space with life. I sipped fresh coconut—cool, sweet, and grounding. If you ever come here, it’s a must. This place is my happy place. A sanctuary of stillness, color, and connection.

Grateful doesn’t even begin to cover it. I’m thankful for the peace, the presence, and the reminder that beauty often arrives quietly, feathered and free.

Morning Gratitude Thought

Grateful for zebra doves that land like blessings, koi that move like poetry, and coconuts that taste like joy. Grateful for sacred spaces that remind me to breathe and simply be.
