Morning Reflections
Faces of Joy…
This morning was brisk, but after the rain, you can see things you couldn’t see before. The sun was shining bright, lighting up everything with a fresh glow. It was so beautiful. I feel like the birds get happier every day—coming from every direction, circling with joy. Domino, Clubby, and Honey Girl all know their names. I just love seeing their happy little faces. Pegleg is always the first to greet me at the beginning of the pier. It was funny today—I gave him a peanut in a shell, and now he prefers them out of the shell. He looked at me like, what am I supposed to do with this now? I do what makes me happy. Isn’t that why we are all here?! Grateful for sunshine, rain-cleansed mornings, familiar wings, and the joy of simple rituals.
