Morning Reflections

Domino First, Then the Joy

This morning unfolded like a gentle celebration. Domino flew in first—her arrival always feels like a signal that the day is ready to begin. Then came the piles of pigeons, fluttering with excitement, filling the Pier with movement and laughter. Their joy is contagious. It’s impossible not to smile. What amazes me most is how even the people who usually shy away from the birds are starting to soften. I see it in their faces—a shift, a smile, a moment of connection. It’s beautiful. It reminds me that we all deserve happiness, and sometimes it arrives in feathers and flutters. Adonis was overhead when I left, watching from above like a quiet guardian. Low tide revealed the shimmer of the ocean floor, and the sun lit everything with gold. I walked away feeling full—of light, of love, of the kind of joy that changes things.

Morning Gratitude Thought

Grateful for Domino’s early arrival, like a gentle hello. For the pigeons’ excitement that lifts the whole Pier. For the quiet shift in people’s hearts—proof that joy is powerful. For Adonis overhead, and the sun shining on low tide. Grateful to be part of something that makes the world a little softer.
