Evening Reflections

Do What Makes You Feel Like You…

Tonight, the sun decided not to make an appearance, and somehow that felt just right. The sky stayed hushed, wrapped in shades of gray, as if it was taking a deep breath before the rain arrives.

The ocean was calm and steady, holding the pier in its reflection, reminding me that beauty doesn’t always announce itself with color. Sometimes it whispers instead.

Pegleg came down to greet me today — a small moment, but one that felt like a familiar hello, like being noticed by the day itself. Even without a sunset, I felt held.

Grateful for quiet evenings.

Grateful for returning rain.

Grateful for friends with feathers who always seem to know where to find me.

Evening Gratitude Thought:

Not every sunset glows — some simply arrive, bringing peace, pause, and the promise of rain.

A foggy gray view of a long pier or bridge extending over calm waters under an overcast sky.
