Morning Reflections

Circles of Trust…

There’s something about an overcast morning that feels like the world is speaking in a whisper.

The sky was painted in soft gray, the ocean steady and calm, and the pigeons were already there… lined up along the rails like they had been waiting for me. Not rushed. Not scattered. Just present.

And then, just like always, the magic began.

Domino came in full force—confident, graceful, right on time. Honey Girl followed with her usual excitement, practically dancing for her peanuts like it was the best moment of her day (and honestly, it might be mine too). Their joy is contagious in the most beautiful way.

Pegleg met me a little further down the line this morning, as if to remind me that not everything has to happen the same way to still feel right. He always finds me… just in his own time.

And above it all, the birds kept circling.

Round and round, effortless and free, like they were tracing invisible patterns in the sky—reminding me of something simple, but powerful:

“Patience is trust in practice.”

Not everything arrives all at once.

Not every moment looks the same.

But when you trust the rhythm… it always comes back around.

This morning wasn’t loud or dramatic.

It didn’t need to be.

It was soft.

It was steady.

It was enough.

And sometimes, that’s the greatest gift of all.
