Morning Reflections

Circle Around the Light…

The ocean greeted me in shades of silver today — a soft gray sky stretching into a gentle horizon, calm enough to hold every quiet thought and loud enough to carry every wingbeat.

And there they were again. The birds. My feathered compass. They don’t circle because I ask them to… they circle because they remember me. Because joy recognizes joy. From every direction, they spiral in the air like tiny affirmations written across the sky.

I lifted a small handwritten note against the sea, the paper waving hope into the breeze: “I hope your holidays are full of kind moments…” And in that same moment, a familiar flutter landed softly on my shoulder.

Honey Girl. My little Honey Girl. She always comes from behind, like a sweet reminder I didn’t know I needed. No hesitation. No fear. Just trust. She presses in gently, settles in proudly, and turns an ordinary moment into an unforgettable one.

Some days, the world feels heavy. But nature always offers a flyby of excitement — a shoulder landing of love — a circle of light.

If we pay attention, gratitude finds us just like the birds do. From every direction. Even in the gray.

Capturing Beauty, Sharing Light

Morning Gratitude Thought:

Wings in the sky. A shoulder hello.

Even in the gray, joy circles back to me.

I am grateful for creatures that remember me…

And for moments that remind me to be light.

Seagulls soar over a misty pier with dramatic cloudy skies in the background.
