Evening Reflections

Chasing Pretty Skies…

Some people count the days. I count the sunsets.

Tonight, Marina del Rey put on another unforgettable show. The sky slowly transformed into soft shades of pink, stretching across the horizon as if it had all the time in the world. Above it all, the moon glowed through the clouds, quietly watching over the evening.

As I walked, a great egret stood perfectly still in the water, completely focused on finding its next meal. Nearby, ducks floated peacefully, ending their day without a care. The silhouettes of the palm trees framed the sky like a painting, reminding me why I never get tired of watching the colors change.

The quote I carried tonight couldn’t have been more fitting:

“Forever the person that gets excited when the sky turns pretty colors.”

I hope I never lose that excitement. There is something magical about slowing down long enough to notice the beauty that asks for nothing except our attention.

Every sunset is different. Every walk is different. Every evening leaves me with one more reason to be grateful.

Tonight, my heart is full.

Capturing beauty, sharing light.
