Morning Reflections

Believe You Are Going to Have Magical Moments…

The rain swept through yesterday like a cleansing breath, and this morning the world sparkled a little brighter because of it. The sun rose slow and golden, reflecting off the calm low-tide water like a promise written in light. The clouds were soft and endless, brushed clean, carrying colors that felt new — like God had just painted them for the day. The air was crisp, cool, and pure. You could feel the freshness in every breath.

Pegleg was the first to greet me — as he always is. There’s something sacred in his consistency. He shows up before the sun fully does, standing tall on his little post, wings ready, eyes warm. A quiet reminder that loyalty and love don’t need words.

The pigeons circled overhead in a spiral of excitement, a fluttering reunion in the sky. Even in the cold, they still came — they still watched, still spun their morning dance. Domino and Honey Girl stayed tucked under the pier today, cozy and warm, choosing comfort over the chill. And that’s okay too. Yesterday, the camera caught their shine — a tribute in honor of them, a moment preserved. Today, they rest. Love looks like both showing up and staying warm when you need to.

I don’t ever take a single sunrise, seagull greeting, or bird-circle moment for granted. These are the gifts I prayed for without even knowing I was praying. God gives us so many small miracles when we slow down enough to notice.

So here’s my morning truth, simple and sure:

Believe you are going to have magical moments. Not because life is perfect — but because God is generous, nature is healing, and gratitude opens doors the world didn’t even tell you were there.

And tomorrow? I’ll be back at the pier again — waiting for more beauty, more light, more magic, more God-given wonder.

Capturing beauty, Sharing light

Morning Gratitude Thought:

The rain washed yesterday clean, and the sunrise wrote hope in its place. Some days love shows up with wings, other days it stays warm beneath the pier. Both are sacred. Thank You, God, for the magic in the small moments. I see You in the light
