Morning Reflections

Before My Feet Hit the Floor…

There are mornings that gently remind us how much we already have before the day even begins.

As I walked onto the Venice Pier, the sunrise painted the sky in soft gold. Adonis was already up high on his favorite perch, watching over the morning. The pigeons were lined up patiently along the railing, waiting for breakfast, and before long they came flying toward me with the excitement that never gets old. Every flutter of their wings fills my heart.

Then there was Moo, greeting me with that familiar smile that always brightens my day. Down on the shoreline, a snowy egret stood tall, facing the ocean with quiet confidence. It felt like a beautiful reminder to stand tall no matter what life brings.

As I walked back to my car, one more gift was waiting for me. The beautiful husky with one crystal-blue eye and one warm brown eye looked up and smiled. Moments like these remind me that joy is often found in the smallest encounters, if we’re paying attention.

Today’s message says it perfectly:

“Today I woke up and my lungs worked and the sun shined and a million things went right before my feet even hit the floor.”

Sometimes the greatest blessings happen before we even realize they’re there.

Life is good. I am grateful.

Capturing beauty, sharing light.
