Morning Reflections

August’s First Sunrise…

This morning felt wonderfully quiet on the Venice Pier. The sun slowly climbed above the horizon while the moon still lingered overhead, sharing the sky for a little while longer. Boats floated peacefully in the distance, and the waves rolled in with their familiar rhythm.

It was different without the birds greeting me this morning. I’ve grown so used to seeing wings flying toward me that their absence made me realize just how much they mean to me. Sometimes the quiet reminds us how deeply we appreciate the things we love.

I know I’ll see them later, and that thought alone makes me smile. Every morning doesn’t have to look the same to be beautiful. Nature has its own rhythm, and today it gave me a peaceful reminder to simply be present.

As August begins, I couldn’t think of a better way to start the month than with gratitude.

“August is a reminder to live in the present, soak in the beauty around us, and be grateful for every day.”

I’m so grateful.

Capturing beauty, sharing light.
