Evening Reflections
Your Heart Knows the Way…
Tonight, Marina del Rey was wrapped in the soft glow of another beautiful sunset. The sailboats rested quietly in the harbor while the sky slowly traded gold for blue. Every reflection on the water seemed to whisper, slow down… this moment matters.
The star of the evening was a little dancing grebe. I could have watched him forever as he spun graceful circles across the water, completely immersed in the present. He wasn’t rushing anywhere. He wasn’t worried about what came next. He simply danced.
As I looked around, the hibiscus flowers glowed in the last light, the marina settled into evening, and one little reminder found its way into my hand:
“Your heart is your compass.”
What a beautiful truth. Sometimes life doesn’t need a map. It simply asks us to pay attention to what brings us peace, wonder, and gratitude.
Tonight reminded me that when we choose to be fully present, time seems to slow down… and ordinary moments become extraordinary memories.
I’m so grateful for evenings like this. 💛
