Evening Reflections

Wide Open October…

Tonight felt like the perfect welcome to October. The Texas sky stretched endlessly above the wide-open spaces, filled with layers of clouds and the softest touches of evening color. There is something about being out here that makes everything feel a little quieter and life a little simpler.

My dad’s llama wandered through, the cows grazed peacefully in the pasture, and a hawk soared overhead. Even the old trees looked beautiful silhouetted against the fading light.

Tonight’s quote felt made for this view:

“October is the opal month of the year. It is a symphony of permanence and change, makes the landscape radiant.”

I love that thought. Nature is always changing, yet somehow there is such comfort in the things that remain. The open fields, the animals, the trees, the sky. A reminder that change can be beautiful too.

Another simple Texas evening. Another sky worth stopping for. Another moment I’m grateful I noticed.

Grateful. Always. 🤍

Capturing beauty, sharing light.
