Morning Reflections

Where Heaven Took Flight…

This morning felt like a gathering… not just of birds, but of joy.

The pigeons were already lined up along the railing when I arrived, like they were waiting for roll call. One by one, they checked in—soft coos, little head tilts, eyes full of recognition. Honey Girl wasted no time. She fluttered in with that familiar excitement, landing close, ready for her peanuts like it was the best moment of her day.

And honestly… it might have been mine too.

Domino came when I called her, just like she always does. There’s something so special about being recognized, about that tiny connection that says, I know you. The pigeons stacked onto my hand, a flurry of feathers and trust, their happiness so pure it’s impossible not to feel it too.

Up above, Adonis sat high on the light post, quietly overseeing everything like a calm protector of the morning. Watching. Present. Steady.

And then… as I began to leave, something incredible unfolded.

Out past the pier, the ocean came alive.

Thousands of birds gathered—pelicans, cormorants—covering the water like a living, breathing tapestry. Some floated peacefully, others lifted into the air, wings cutting through the sky in perfect rhythm. It didn’t feel real. It felt like stepping into something sacred.

Like heaven decided to reveal itself… just for a moment.

And in my hand, I held a small reminder:

“Make the last day of March epic.”

I smiled… because it already was.

Sometimes we don’t need to chase big moments.

Sometimes they find us—feathered, fleeting, and absolutely unforgettable.

Grateful for this morning.

Grateful for every wingbeat.

Grateful I was there to see it.

Capturing beauty, sharing light.
